Woodstock Noel Chime - Joy to the World
This chime is tuned to a cascading major scale, the opening notes of the popular Christmas carol, Joy To The World. This festive English carol was written in 1719 by minister and hymn writer Isaac Watts. The lyrics are based on Psalms 98. The tune used today is attributed to Lowell Mason from an 1848 edition and possibly based on theme written by baroque master Georg Frederich Handel.
