The EASIEST way to remove quarter round trim!
In this home improvement video, I'll show you The EASIEST way to remove quarter round trim, without breaking it. You might also know this trim as shoe molding. This trim is thin and can break very easily. If your doing a lot of flooring, saving the old 1/4 round (shoe molding) can save money.
Patient is the most import thing. First score the caulk with a utility knife. Then, slowly pry away with a putty knife, then use a stiffer tool like a 5-in-1 painters tool. If you need to, you can use a prybar. Once the trim is off, just fill in the holes with wood filler, then sand and paint. The quarter round should be looking like new, and ready to reinstall.
