The Ease Stitch
The Ease Stitch. Set the sewing machine to a larger stitch length of around 4 mm. Sew a line of edge stitching, 3 mm from the seam line within the seam allowance. Pull the thread tails to create a slight gathering effect. Match up the seams and notches ensuring the gathers are evenly distributed and smooth. Make sure that there are no tiny tucks to the right side. Sew a regular stitch along the seam line and remove the ease stitch. Fullness is now reduced without any sign of such on the right side.
