Self Closing Safety Gate using Gravity
Self closing gate I designed and installed on a tank top ladder/cage, it utilizes a custom hing design and gravity to close under its own weight. The vertical upright on the gate that the hinge is welded to is made from solid stock, this is Paramount in the design. The bulk of the weight must be close to the hinge. This applies more downforce on the hinge allowing it to close on its own!
