Proxy vote, Rule 27 M. SPECIAL SITUATION During the Poll.
A voter having service qualification is called a service voter. Members of Armed Forces are service Voter. Service voters can give his vote either in person or by postal ballot.
Those serving in a Forces to which the Army Act 1950 applies (Assam Rifles, CRPF, BSF,ITBP, SSB,NSG,GREF, in BRO, CISF etc.) are also service voter. Member of an Armed Police Forces of a state, serving outside the state are qualified as service voters. A person employed under Government of India posted outside the country is a sercice voter as per Election commission of India.
Classified Service can vote by a proxy appointed by him. Service Voters who opt for voting through proxy are called Classified Service Voters . Service Voter can appoint a person as his/her proxy to vote on his/her behalf.
A CSV is not issued postal ballot by RO.
You will be supplied with a list of the CSVs, if any, for your Polling Station.
You must treat the proxy as if the actual Service Voter is present in front of you.
Proxy must physically come and vote at the said Polling Station .
Register the proxy vote in Form 17 A.
