Most people will get a "Tire tread depth" warning on their Tesla at some point. Basically all Teslas wear tires faster on the rear including all Dual Motor Teslas. This is normal since the rear motor is very efficient and usually puts more power to the wheels than the front motor. This leads to faster tire wear on the rear axle and thus eventually there will be a warning on the Tesla screen about this. Only if you're rotating your tires frequently you will not get this message. In this video I explain what triggers this message and how the car knows about tire tread depth. I will show you what to do and explain in detail how to do a tire rotation, what tools you need and what adjustments and resets you will have to do on your Tesla.
