Prenatal stroke recovery with ArmeoSpring Pediatric - Frederic's Story
Frederic, a 13-year-old boy is one of the patients at Ambulanticum, Germany. He suffered from a prenatal stroke, which left his left side paralysed and was considered untreatable.
When he came to Ambulanticum, he couldn't use his arm or hand, so they started with an intensive programme for arm rehabilitation and hand physical therapy. By using rehabilitation robotics the goal was to enable him to use the affected arm. With the help of biofeedback of the ArmeoSpring Pediatric, they managed to improve his condition. Due to hand strengthening exercises, he is now able to use both of his hands and the progress is visible in his daily routine.
