What is "Bad Theology" and What Made FB Get Really Mad at Me?
There are core doctrines in Christianity that have been believed by all Christians for all time
You will find slightly different lists but they can be summarizes as
1. Who God is
Triune and unified. One being three persons. Creator. Holy. All knowing etc
2. Who Jesus is
Fully God, fully man, lived a perfect human life, conceived of a virgin, died on the cross, was buried and rose and is now seated at the right hand of the father. He will return again to judge the living and the dead.
Belief in him is the only thing that can save us from our sin nature.
3. The Holy Spirit is a part of the Trinity.
4. Scripture is divinely inspired. Christians believe in the 66 books of the Cannon.
There are a lot of secondary issues and nuance and wording differences that matter but can be debated about.
I am not the authority on any of this. I leave that up to Jesus, but I hope this list and video helps summarize the core doctrines of the Christian faith and what I mean when I say "bad theology."
