I received this printer a long time ago and decided to unbox it yesterday. It looks cute, great little printer for a child to learn the in’s and out’s of 3d printing and have a little fun.
Look at the cute colours (Paw Patrol colours LOL)…
Unboxed it live, and poked a little fun at it, but for what it is, the first two test prints were not too bad at all…

Next day, decided to do more printing on it. Also decided to stream on Twitch… why not?
Started a test print of a dragon or whatever it was called from the provided SD card.
Needed to go put child to bed and read him a story. Should be fine to let it print for 10-15 minutes while I do that, right?

Reading the story upstairs and I get a text message from one of my subscribers; “the printer is smoking”.
I come down to the studio, and what do I find? The video says it all…

DON’T BUY A PRINTER FOR KIDS AND GIVE IT TO THEM WITHOUT THOROUGHLY TESTING IT FIRST.
Don’t buy a printer for kids if it does not have SIMPLE SAFETY FEATURES like THERMAL RUNAWAY!

Don’t cheap out on a printer, period. I can no longer locate the company or this printer on Google searches. I wonder why?

I test printers all the time. I am never more than 10 or 15 minutes away from them during initial testing stages. This shocked me.

Thank you to my viewer who texted me. Who knows what another 5 minutes could have resulted in?
