"A few years back, i was browsing through a stack of old records at a friend's house, when i came across four old 10'inch vinyls from the early 1950's. My friend told me i could have them for free, because he couldn't sell "that old crap". I gladly accepted the old records and brought them home with me to find out they contained the most stressful and fast paced traditional Chinese folk music i had ever heard. After verifying that i was indeed supposed to play them at 33rpm and not the elusive 16rpm, i put them away and forgot all about them.

Several years later, after being exposed to vaporwave and the slowing down of old music to create something unique, i got an idea. What if i took select tracks from these old vinyls and slowed them down to a pleasant pitch? The result was a calm beautiful work of art that only got better once i added field recordings of nature ambience. At first i discarded the project as being too cheap, but then i sent it to Fae Moonbeam, who had expressed interest in traditional Asian folk music, and once she heard the project, she immediately encouraged me to put them out on Girly Girl Musik. However, i decided to release them on our sub label Fireflower Foundation under an alias and discredit myself completely. In other words, this is merely an experiment for non-commercial purpose only.
