Video creation can have a prohibitively steep curve for people who don't have a photography or tech background. I want to create a completely free resource, using tools that are free or cheap, to help anyone get started with making videos. Whether you want to curate family memories or to share your passion for your hobby with others, you should be able to make and edit videos at minimal extra cost to yourself.
In this video, I explain exactly what goes into your project settings on any video editing software. Even though I am demonstrating with VSDC, the concepts will follow you with whatever you use. After this tutorial, you should be able to understand the "settings" menu in any software, and fill in the project setup dialog box in VSDC confidently and intentionally.
