Sights in Bamberg - travel tips from a local
In this YouTube video, I take you on a tour of the sights of Bamberg. Theoretically, you can visit all the highlights I've shown you in one day, but if you have a little more time available, you can take it easy and also go on excursions in the surrounding area. As I only live 40 km from Bamberg and therefore know the area very well, I can give you lots of tips in this regard.
Bamberg is a German city with a great past, magnificent buildings, picturesque bridges and a lively present. Due to its fairytale bridges, Bamberg is also known as the Venice of Germany and there is even a place called “Little Venice”. Furthermore, the Franconian city is built on seven hills, just like the city of Rome. The most famous hill is the Domberg with Bamberg Cathedral.
What sights are there in Bamberg, what is a must-see in the city and what else is interesting around Bamberg? I'll tell you and I'm sure I'll give you a few insider tips along the way.
