Should You Be Using Artificial Intelligence as a Writer? - Daily Writing Vlog #22
In this video about #writing and #AI or #artificialintelligence I talk about the ways I directly or indirectly use AI in various processes related to my writing and work.
In short, no, I don't use AI tools in my fiction or non-fiction writing when writing for publication, and haven't found many good use cases in my daily work as a professor, but I have used some AI image generation tools for character creation in my self-published genre fiction. Meanwhile, many creative and professional writers are starting to use these tools in different parts of their writing processes, and soon they will be implemented directly in Word and Google Docs.
There are also many indirect ways that I am using AI, such as when I schedule advertisements on YouTube or Facebook--ultimately there is machine learning that is used in the background to help optimize advertisements. So, even when we might not be using the tools directly, we are dealing with companies that are using Machine Learning or AI in their processes.
