He Waa He Moku, He Moku He Waa: Our Canoe is Our Island, Our Island is Our Canoe
In this unique summer abroad experience, funded by the Government of Canada’s Global Skills Opportunity, Humber College students explored the Six Nations of the Grand River, followed by a two-week immersive experience on the beautiful Hawaiian island of Kaua’i learning about the culture and history of the island as well as challenges that the community faces and efforts that they make to restore/seek balance and build foundations for a more sustainable and just future.
