Our Steering provides the Most Powerful and the Fastest Steering Response of ANY off road truck we have seen in the world to date.
Most off road race buggies and trucks have terrible steering response times, that result in the driver not being able to spin the steering wheel quickly. When a driver spins the steering wheel and it binds up, this is called "Pump Catch" and is caused by the pump not being able to provide sufficient volume of oil to the ram (The ram is being asked to move faster than the pump can provide fluid)
We conducted more than 1500 Hours of Analysis/Development, spreadsheets and design followed by Hundreds of hours testing.
Initial testing was done with a 3 Phase Hydraulic Power Pack in our workshop with our tyres deflated to 5PSI to measure all the loads and calculate the pressures, flows and temperatures that we would require
We initially had many problems with drive belts stripping teeth and high oil temperatures trying to turn our pump at the high flow rates and high pressures, but we have been using this system for 2 years now with great reliability.
The PS Oil Cooler is NOW the BIGGEST oil cooler on our truck. Trying to move 37" tyres back and forth at the speeds we have achieved creates A LOT OF HEAT.
With our MASSIVE PS cooler, that takes our oil cooler tally to AIX (yes 6).

Engine Oil
Power Steering (Biggest Cooler on the truck)
