Guacamole: Put your Linux desktop into the cloud
This video is a tutorial how to put your graphical Linux desktop in a browser. It's based on http://linuxintro.org/wiki/Guacamole
Basically we use
Google Cloud to create a VM
Apache Tomcat to execute a WebApp
(the WebApp) Guacamole to export a VNC session to a browser
TightVNC to create a VNC session and
GNOME to create a MetaCity desktop session
This is helpful if you want to:
hide your location when surfing, get rebate like an American
need to use a graphical installer or other software on Linux
want a desktop that never changes
