30 Years of Assembler and Machine Language Experience in 5 Tutorials :)

Understanding assembler and machine language will make you a better computer scientist. Other programming languages try to be as close as possible to human language and then translate the code into machine language. But this is an abstraction, and like all abstractions, it has its flaws. To truly understand what's happening and how to make computer programs faster, it's recommended to go back to the basics and look at how code, processor, registers, flags, memory, the boot process, and the hard drive interact. This will be presented in 5 parts; this is part 5, where we'll look at debuggers and modify a pre-compiled program.
