Part F requirements and TGD F 2019 provisions, Compliance rate of NZEB in EU EPBD, Inspections and Validation of ventilation systems
The presentation will cover TGD F 2019 new provisions, including the validation of ventilation systems in new dwellings and major renovations. Ireland was the first EU member states to require all ventilation systems in new dwellings to be validated by a competent independent person followed by France in 2020. The inspection of ventilation systems in the EU is proposed to be mandatory at the EU level in the new Energy Performance of Buildings Directive published on December 15th 2021.

Emmanuel Bourdin is an Advisor in the Climate Action Policy and Construction Industry Regulation Unit of the Department of Housing, Local Government and Heritage. He leads on regulations and standards related to Part L and Part F of the Buildings Regulations for Dwellings and supports the implementation of the Energy Performance of Buildings Directive in Ireland. He is a Chartered Engineer MIEI with 21 years experience in the manufacturing and distribution industries of construction products.
