Incredibly Fast Snack Bag Line Elevates with Ultra Control by Multi-Conveyor
Multi-Conveyor recently built a series of Z-shaped elevating conveyors and two straight incline conveyors to transport a snack-food product from two (2) Viking Masek "Velocity" high-speed VFFS (vertical form fill seal) bagmaker discharges, into several batch gates.
The Viking Masek* Velocity duo feeds the pair of near 14-ft. of anti-slip take-away conveyors and 7-ft. straight elevating inclines at a rate of over 300 BPM. Even through elevation, the conveyors had no problem keeping the lightweight snack bags in control during this incredibly fast-moving application.
Multi-Conveyor is known as an industry leader of custom (and standard or modular) conveyors, designing some of the most revered conveyor systems in existence. Our designers and engineers incorporated two vertical curves into this calculated line, guaranteeing the batch gates met both height and match-limits for extremely rapid production throughput during all phases of elevated transport.
To aid in maximum control, Multi-Conveyor equipped the conveyors with Intralox flush grid friction top belting. This belting was chosen specifically for its ability to maximize control of the snack bags during the elevation process, alleviating any backward slippage or sliding of individual bags.
The video shows multiple series of conveyors, running in tandem with various OEM equipment, on the customer production line, at ultra-fast line speeds. Very cool.
