What does it take to keep a music scene thriving in 2026?

Jazz is the heartbeat of D.C., and CapitalBop is working to keep up the pulse despite the direct attacks our city is currently facing. There has never been a more critical time to keep the culture of our city alive.

Last month, we sat down for a conversation with some of the team to talk about why the D.C. jazz scene is so special, CapitalBop’s contributions to the culture and what we’re trying to build in 2026 and beyond.
