A Nurse and Marine Veteran Find Love at My Birthday Show
Martin Amini celebrates his birthday with four sold-out shows in Los Angeles, but the late show quickly turns into one of the wildest crowd-work and matchmaking episodes yet.
Martin meets a terrifyingly enthusiastic front-row fan, searches the audience for people ready to settle down, and tries to help Dalia find an honest man. Then Edgar—an unemployed romantic from South Central—must describe his dream woman and practice proposing to Martin in Barcelona.
Later, Martin and comedian Jason Cheny meet Jonathan, a 24-year-old law student who may be the most wholesome man in Los Angeles. They introduce him to Lety, who has been single for five years, and attempt to arrange an ice-cream date.
Just when the show appears to be finished, Stacy enters the conversation and meets Brian, a Marine veteran, father and power lineman. What begins with a seafood-date proposal ends with the biggest connection—and kiss—of the night.
The night closes with the entire Los Angeles crowd singing “Happy Birthday” to Martin, birthday cake and what Martin calls his best birthday ever.
