NYU Students Making Change: Upcycled Longboards
Design Week 2021 is here! Today we are showcasing some amazing NYU students making change. In this video, you will hear from Isay, who makes longboards from upcycled wood. Inspired by her family's shared hobby of longboarding along the Bay Area coast, she started offering woodworking courses, with custom longboard making as the most popular class where attendees learn how to use saws, sanders, drills, and more to mold and cut boards, as well as Adobe Photoshop and AutoCAD to design custom deck shapes and designs.
