Transition Glasses | Red Glasses | Achromatopsia
This type of glasses are red glasses with prescription with combination of transition lenses. In their normal state, the glasses are red. We all know how red tinted lenses help with light sensitivity for people with achromatopsia. But, during the summer - red is not enough. Even with a hat. So we tried these transition glasses that get darker when there's more light. They almost get black, but you must know that the red also stops some of the UV from light, that's why they don't always get black, and also the transitioning is slower.
Yet, compared with simple red tint, with these glasses my daughter with acrhomatopsia can look directly at the Sun. This has never happened before!
