Mac Settings That Really Make The Make Useful.
Command to type: defaults write com.apple.finder CreateDesktop false; killall Finder
IMPORTANT: This command essentially disables the idea of the desktop. You still have a wallpaper but you can't drag new files onto the desktop or interact with it in any way that you normally would.
