An index is a figure used to compare two numbers using a standard value of 100. It is faster to use an index rather than using long numbers.
For example, if you compare your restaurant year on year, an index of 102, means a rise of 2% compared to last year and an index of 98 means a fall of 2% compared to last year.
REMS Market Share compares your data with the data from your competitive set for each KPI and displays the result in the form of an index. This allows you to quickly understand your opportunities or challenges in the market. An index of 100 or more means you are getting your fair share or more whereas an index below 100, means you are not getting your fair share.
