I made a simple jigsaw cutting guide that serves both as a jigsaw guide as well as a jigsaw crosscut jig. The build is solid, it doesn't cost much, you'll only need a jigsaw to build it and you can use it for a lot of workshop projects. The cutting guide lets you cut straight cuts, cross cuts, square timber, and others. You will need only a few things to make this simple wood project - plywood, aluminum angles, bolts, nuts, and a jigsaw. The jigsaw guide is simple to make and it will help you with many workshop projects. Watch the entire video for a step-by-step guide on how to make such a jigsaw cutting jig. I started out by cutting plywood for the jig. Cut 2 aluminum angles - one that serves for straight cuts and the other for crosscuts. I fixed the angle for straight cuts using two-sided tape, bolts, nuts and cut the excess of the plywood using a jigsaw. Then I fixed the angle for crosscuts and tweaked it a bit to make sure both angles are at 90 degrees and squareness was ensured. I cut out the excess plywood to make the jigsaw guide lighter and attached a handle for easier manipulation. The dimensions of the jigsaw guide are 40x50cm.
