Birth Politics: Episode 1 - Intro
Birth is a basic biological process that no other mammal has issues with (unless we meddle via inbreeding and domestication). And yet we are told from the imprints of our own births, our mother's births and labors, by doctors, nurses, midwives etc...that we are inherently broken and cannot do it for...reasons. This is insanity. It's wrong. It's detrimental to society. This series will explore birth from a political perspective and shine a light on some truths that are self-evident if we just look around.
To clarify: an informed woman's choice to use the system is completely valid. this is about truth, not about prescribing women exactly how to birth their babies.
