The Nike Kobe AD is the first shoe from Kobe Bryant to release after his retirement. The Kobe AD takes inspiration from his Mamba Mentality and will debut during November.
On April 14, 2016, Kobe Bryant played the final game of his 20-year career. The contest, his 1,556th as a professional, ended in signature style: The Black Mamba netted a memorable 60 points. Some athletes might have let that sink in for a day, maybe a week. Not Bryant. He was in his office at 8a.m. April 15, opening the new chapter of his life with the same intensity he’d pushed through the previous two decades on the hardwood.
“EVEN THOUGH I AM NOT ON THE COURT EVERY DAY, THERE ARE PEOPLE AROUND THE WORLD WHO ARE HELPING TO KEEP THE ‘MAMBA MENTALITY’ ALIVE,” SAYS BRYANT. “I HAVE SEEN IT IN BASKETBALL, FOOTBALL AND WITH EVERYDAY INDIVIDUALS WHO ARE WORKING TO BE BETTER AND ARE COMMITTED TO BEING GREAT.”
The Nike Kobe A.D. continues the legacy of lightweight, low-profile on-court footwear. Combining a Zoom Air unit in the heel, Lunarlon foam in the midsole and a minimal rubber outsole (with micro-tread traction), the shoe provides responsive, flexible cushioning and maximum court feel. A breathable mesh upper with incorporated Dynamic Flywire, ensures lock down for quick changes of direction toward the basket or to cover an opponent.
Kyrie 3
The first Nike Kyrie 3 will launch on December 26th in Black, Total Crimson, Dark Grey and White. Constructed with Hyperfuse, layered mesh and TPU. The Kyrie logo will be placed once again on the tongues while ‘JBY’ standing for ‘Just Be You’ and ‘H+H” for ‘Hungry and Humble’ are also spotted.
2017 you can expect plenty more Nike Kyrie 3 set to release at retailers and possibly one more launch this year.
