You have sent an email are now eagerly waiting for a reply? I'll show you how to track if your sent email has been opened by the recipient, how to check if the e-mail was actually read by the recipient, if your sent email has been opened in Gmail, if the e-mail you sent was actually read by the recipient. Know if your send email is read or not?

We recruiters, sourcers and talent specialists are constantly talking to the candidates, sending them mails, sending profiles to the clients, scheduling interviews, sending interview confirmation mails to the client as well as candidates. Hence most of us are constantly waiting for a mail confirmation from either the client or the candidate.

You call a candidate and explain him about the opportunity. Then you send him a mail about the job description and wait for his confirmation on the opportunity or you wait for him to send his updated CV. If you are handling a client then you send the profiles to the client and wait for the feedback. Then once you receive the feedback you send the interview schedules and wait for the confirmation.

Also most of us these days have to work towards increasing the business by getting new clients apart from our regular KRA which is sourcing. Hence we are constantly connecting with individuals, engaging with them on emails and waiting to hear back from them.

One quick and easy way to gauge the success of your recruiting emails is by tracking whether they’ve been opened. Most of us these days are using mail service through gmail client. That means you have to login to your corporate email id through gmail. The MailTrack extension for Gmail can let you know if the recipient has read your messages. This is very helpful when you are sourcing passive candidates. So you’ll know if your contact info is correct and your subject lines are doing the trick. The best part about this is, the extension will tell you how many times an email has been opened, so if a candidate seems to be showing high interest by repeat viewing, you can be sure to reach out again fast.
