Update 11.8.23
I stopped playing the game not because of the weirdness from the game. It's this.
2 officers killed in the line of duty holding off Nightingale at the autopsy room. Saga proudly wear the FBI uniform and just walked pass the female officer corpse. I know it's just a game, but that scene is dehumanizing. We should have the option to take off our FBI coat and cover the fallen officer. Casey would do the same for the other fallen officer since he has a plot armor like Saga to keep him alive.
In the Mind Place, we should at least give a tribute to those fallen officers, but the game won't even mention them. You can't even interact with any of the officers in the office to see how they're feeling.
Update 10-30-23
Alan Wake 2 needs a beefy pc to play because of the mesh shader tech. I'm currently at the mission where I have to find the vanishing naked man, again. It's like the whole point of the game is to make you run around the forest / walking stimulator. The objective of the game always forcing your character (Sega Anderson) to looks for a fresh batch of paper trails to satisfy the Mind Place. The Mind Place is like a lame prerequisite puzzle where you pieced together a bunch of pictures for each cases with multiple sub folders such as motives and so forth. It was fascinating at first as I get to know each and every victims and their cause of deaths. After a while, I find it boring, repetitive and time consuming. So I just just drag the picture around until it stick. The enemies you encounter don't use guns. The only time they used gun was to take down the naked man at the beginning with a squad of 4 where the sharpshooter never miss. Overkill right? That's like adding the unnecessary mesh shader to the game. A lot of players will struggled. This beg the question on how many players requested for a refund because their pc couldn't handle mesh shader tech? Alan Wake 2 looks like those old game (RDR2) .
It also make me realized we're just playing recycled graphic games from the past while RTX gpu get more expensive.
Alan Wake 2 is not my type of game. I'm more of an action type. So I stopped playing. I'm gonna try State of Decay 2 - Juggernaut Edition next.
I prefer Control over Alan Wake 2. Same graphic with a lot of actions.

Cheers for reading.
Old archive.
Even at the lowest settings, this game looks gorgeous at 1080p
Not many people able to play this game through. Take this slide show for example

A little about mesh shader tech.
mesh shader tech ... It's not being supported all cards and amd cards especially seems even more affected by it ... the game looks amazing but it's this technology that make even insignificant small details/ objects look good with high quality texture so it's very demanding on Vram
