Urbanization, climate change and resource constraints are dramatically reshaping our world. And with rising temperatures creating an increased demand for cooling, the urgency for climate innovation and action grows each day. Fifteen percent of global greenhouse gas emissions come from heating and cooling of homes and buildings; another 10% comes from food loss, much of which happens during transport. The technology exists today to address these challenges and bend the curve on climate change.

Trane Technologies operates where these global megatrends and innovation intersect. As a global climate solutions leader, Trane Technologies is relentlessly innovating energy-efficient climate solutions for buildings, homes and the cold chain. Its decarbonizing technologies including high-efficiency, fully electric heat pumps, thermal energy storage and solar solutions are helping enable a zero-emission future.

While these advancements are substantially reducing emissions in difficult-to-decarbonize spaces, solutions must be accelerated and adopted at scale to meet the growing challenges. Learn how Trane Technologies is transforming the carbon landscape across our cities and communities; advancing its externally validated, science-based emission targets; and collaborating with changemakers around the world – including here at Carnegie Mellon University – to help accelerate adoption of more energy efficient solutions that will create a better future for us all.

You’ll hear firsthand how Trane Technologies, the Scott Institute for Energy Innovation's first corporate Grand Challenge partner, is working to study the impact and potential for electrified residential heating and cooling at scale in the U.S.
