Dark photo editing in Lightroom can be done in several ways. Here are some steps you can follow to adjust the exposure and enhance the overall brightness and contrast of your image:
1. Open your image in Lightroom and switch to the Develop module.
2. Adjust the Exposure slider to brighten the image. Drag the slider to the right to increase the exposure or to the left to decrease it.
3. Adjust the Shadows slider to lift the shadows and reveal more details in the dark areas of the image. Drag the slider to the right to brighten the shadows or to the left to darken them.
4. Adjust the Blacks slider to deepen the blacks and add more contrast to the image. Drag the slider to the left to deepen the blacks or to the right to lighten them.
5. Adjust the Whites slider to brighten the whites and add more contrast to the image. Drag the slider to the right to brighten the whites or to the left to darken them.
6. Fine-tune the overall brightness and contrast of the image using the Tone Curve panel. Drag the curve up to brighten the image or down to darken it.
7. Adjust the Clarity slider to add more midtone contrast and enhance the details in the image. Drag the slider to the right to increase clarity or to the left to reduce it.
These are just a few basic adjustments you can make to brighten up a dark photo in Lightroom. You can also experiment with other settings such as the Highlights, Vibrance, and Saturation sliders to achieve the desired look for your image.
