France. Martigues is the Venice of Provence, located between the Mediterranean Sea and Lake Etang de Berre.
The old city, through which we walked, is divided into 3 parts by canals. connecting the lake to the ocean. And it is because of them that Martigues was nicknamed the Venice of Provence.
