In this video lecture I have discussed about transistor biasing and setting-up the Q-Point of transistor for amplification. Different cases that arise are:
1-If the transistor is biased such that the Q-point lies near the saturation region, then the negative cycle of the output waveform is clipped-off.
2-If the transistor is biased such that the Q-point lies near the cut-off region, then the positive cycle of the output waveform is clipped-off.
3-If the input signal is large enough (though the Q-point is at the center of DC-Load line) that it exceeds the maximum and minimum value of Ic, then both cycles of output signals are clipped-off and waveform is distorted.
