Let's play Persona 4 130: False Start 1
Today we corner Adachi and get his perspective on things. Turns out he's a wee bit of a cold-blooded murderer, and I don't disapprove. A villain that calmly points out his or her various murderous tendencies without remorse or emotion at all is a better villain than the Freudian Excuse variety, which in turn is better than the delusional Knight Templar, which in turn is better than the greedy asshat, which is a vast improvement over a villain who's entire character and motive can be summed up as "I'm going to RULE THE WORLD. MHAHAHAHAHAHA". Adachi isn't a perfect example, a better if not necessarily perfect example would have been Hikawa if he didn't fall into a plot hole at Ikebukuro after his Reason speech, but you take what you get. Needless to say that with Shadow Teddie being my third favorite character and Namatame being my second favorite, it's not a spoiler to say that Adachi here is the single best character in the game, bar none. Lacking in a few virtues, true, but well, no one's perfect.
FYI but there'll be a second false start next video. The day we'll go after Adachi properly is 12 December, in game I assure you, as that day has the "best" Fusion Forecast, which is a flat bonus S. Link EXP to all fusions, which is awesome. Next video will be me forgetting that completely and off-screening getting quest crap from Heaven, turning that stuff in without further perusing Adachi, and THEN we'll go after him right and proper. Hopefully.
