The NICE Index (Neurodivergent Identity & Comprehensive Experience Index) is a framework I use to help make sense of the whole neurodivergent experience—beyond just diagnostic labels.
In this video, I walk through how the NICE Index brings together key domains like sensory processing, nervous system regulation, cognitive patterns, identity development, and lived experience to create a more complete and validating understanding of yourself (or your clients).
Instead of asking “What’s wrong?”, the NICE Index asks:
What pattern is this nervous system operating from?
This approach is especially helpful for people who:
Feel like their experiences haven’t been fully captured by traditional diagnoses
Are navigating ADHD, autism, trauma, or complex overlaps
Want a clearer, more compassionate understanding of their brain and body
Whether you're a clinician, a late- or not yet-identified neurodivergent adult, or someone supporting others, this framework is designed to translate complexity into clarity.
🧠 Topics covered:
What the NICE Index is and why I created it
The core domains of the index
How it differs from traditional diagnostic models
How it can support self-understanding and clinical work
If this resonates, you’re not alone—and your experience makes sense.
