The new trend in European politics - the fight against everything Russian - does not affect our art objects - sculptures and paintings. Russian avant-garde is especially valued in the West. And to such an extent that private collectors and even large museums do not disdain outright theft.

His works mysteriously disappeared from the treasury of the Russian Museum, only to appear in Paris in the collection of the Georges Pompidou Center. But how was this possible?!

It turns out that the originals of the artist's works in the Russian Museum were replaced with fakes. A whole criminal group operated in St. Petersburg, making a living by smuggling valuables abroad on an especially large scale!

How were masterpieces of Russian painting exported to the West? How did FSB investigators expose the criminals, and most importantly - how did our experts manage to return the loot from Paris to the Russian Museum? Details of the scam of the century in our new film from the documentary series “Mysteries of the Century with Sergei Medvedev”.
