Echos- a Story About CPTSD and Dissociation - OFFICIAL TRAILER
Hello all! It’s almost time. Here is the trailer for my BA film, ECHOS. My Ba Project is a 2d animated short film that explores the experience of Complex Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (CPTSD). The narrative follows a Nonbinary protagonist post-therapy session, showing how their dissociation episodes and interactions with triggers lead to the acceptance of what happened to them, and that they are in a safe place now. I used both tight and abstract animation to visualize this. The film employs a variety of different animation techniques, all hand drawn, some digital and some traditional. All of the animation is frame by frame. The project which is informed by my theoretical research, aims to authentically represent CPTSD through animation.
