Indonesia is known worldwide as the country with the largest Muslim population. However, is that enough to make this country truly Islamic in its behavior, laws, and socio-political governance? This video invites you to dive into the face of Indonesia that appears religious, but holds many contradictions.
From religious politics or polarization that divides, mass organizations that use the name of religion, to doctrines that produce intolerance and violence, we dissect complex issues that are rarely discussed openly. Why do Indonesian human resources not reflect the noble values taught by religion? Has religion turned into a tool of power and business?
We will discuss issues surrounding political and religious polarization, feudalism in Islamic boarding schools, global conflicts such as Palestine-Israel which have been brought to the streets, to the phenomenon of religious drunkenness and manipulation of holy books for political interests.
