🌟Is a Hair Mask the Same as Conditioner?
Many people are confused about the difference between conditioner and hair masks. Which is better? Which should you use? What are their benefits? How do they work?
It's common to find yourself overwhelmed when buying a hair product, with countless options to choose from: conditioner or hair mask.
🌟What are they for?
Conditioner is used to hydrate hair after shampooing. Its formula allows for daily use. Despite common myths, it's not true that it makes hair oily or dirty.
It's a fundamental product for maintaining healthy hair fibers from daily damage, preventing frizz, and leaving hair much softer and shinier. Its benefits are best seen with regular use.
However, a hair mask is a nourishing treatment that provides hair with all the necessary elements to stay healthy. Its formula is more concentrated and offers a more intensive treatment to the hair fiber, boosting strength and resistance to all aggressive chemical treatments.
It's as if conditioner were like makeup for hair, helping it look and feel good, and a hair mask were like the food we eat that nourishes us from within. Both are important and necessary for hair success.
🌟How are they used?
In almost the same way, always on washed hair after rinsing out the shampoo. The only difference is the application time. Conditioner works immediately, while a hair mask needs at least 3 minutes to work; ideally, it should be left on the hair for 15 minutes. Both conditioners and shampoos need to be rinsed out if used in their traditional form.
🌟How often should they be applied?
Conditioner depends on how often you wash your hair. Use it every time you wash your hair, even if it's daily. Regular use will enhance its positive effects.
The hair mask should be used at least every 15 days, although once a week is recommended. In summer or in tropical coastal areas, it can be used twice a week to counteract the effects of the sun and pool and seawater.
In both cases, avoid applying them to the roots to keep them lighter, cleaner, and more natural.
