🌿The cytoskeleton is a dynamic network of protein filaments and tubules in the cytoplasm of eukaryotic cells. It provides structural support, maintains cell shape, and facilitates cell movement and division. The cytoskeleton consists of three main components:

Microfilaments (Actin Filaments): Thin, flexible fibers made of actin protein that support cell shape, enable movement, and assist in cell division.

Intermediate Filaments: Sturdy, fibrous proteins that provide mechanical strength, stabilize cell structure, and protect cells from stress.

Microtubules: Hollow tubes made of tubulin protein that support cell shape, enable intracellular transport, and are essential for cell division by forming the mitotic spindle.

Overall, the cytoskeleton is crucial for maintaining cellular integrity and facilitating various cellular processes.
