A380 ‘SMOOTH’ GO-AROUND
Maybe due to a higher approach speed, which can result in Ground Effect, which is a bit like trying to push two magnets of matching poles together.
It’s clear they’re in the TDZ but way past the aiming point (the two BIG white runway markers). Emirates are very strict on their procedures so we can clearly see, as they start to float and gain height again, the Go-Around procedure is executed as they’re reaching the end of the Touch Down Zone.
Got to say, the execution was flawless and very calm unlike many we’ve witnessed. Pax would likely have felt a slight lift but that is certainly not ‘back of the seat’.
