Using Debug of IntelliJ IDEA to understand Java Head First 'Mixed messages' exercise
You can see how the values are being changed (see 'Variables' window) through the execution of the "Java Head First" exercise (p. 54-56) java app.
If in some other exercise (say, in "Pool Puzzle") you are more interested in the (text) output, switch to 'Console' window while debugging.
