Blockchain technology and particularly permissioned blockchain networks are capable of providing security with privacy through non-repudiation and integrity. The concept of blockchains mainly exploits the idea that the information is replicated across all network nodes, and thus, taking control of an important number of nodes (1/3) cannot harm the information integrity (no single points of failure). Particularly, permissioned blockchains keep sensitive information inside private networks where only privileged parties can have access with an inside invitation. Therefore, the customer information is kept safe on a private ledger that offers transparency to a privileged group of legal network participants, and both clients and organizations are able to perform create, read, write, delete (CRUD) operations on the data under pre-defined access control policies. The various features of permissioned blockchains enable different policy applications that are able to, for instance, separate legal parties into a higher privacy network running inside the initial private one.
