In Greek mythology, there were three sons of Cronus: Zeus, who ruled the heavens, Hades, who lorded over the underworld, and Poseidon, the supreme god of the seas. Just like the sea itself, when he was calm he was peaceful and giving, but when he was angry, his fury was comparable to a wild tempest. Poseidon appeared in fewer myths than his brother, Zeus, but whenever he would appear in the tales of mortals or gods, his power was always as prominent as his trident!
