When a King and Queen finally have a child, a precious daughter, they make the mistake of not inviting an all-powerful fairy wise woman to the christening. As a result, the girl becomes cursed to fall into a deep sleep when she pricks her finger on a spindle, causing the entire court to sleep for a hundred years. As the years go by, and an impenetrable thorn hedge covers the castle, legend spreads of the Sleeping Beauty, and countless young men venture forth to break the curse. But magic and destiny are never so easy to defeat!
