Child of Children's: Ben Golden
Born with a serious heart condition, Ben was among the first patients to undergo heart transplant surgery when the Bruno Pediatric Heart Center at Children’s of Alabama opened in 2012. Post-surgery, he was diagnosed with a cancer common in solid organ transplant recipients, but after several rounds of chemotherapy, Ben is now cancer free and an all-star on his Little League baseball team.
