ADNV G14P2 Digital Night Vision first test
My first test with the Chinese ADNV G14P2 Digital night vision unit, this is one of the first Digital night vision units to be competitive with military Gen 3 NODs/NVGs. With the G14P2, Chinese Gen 2+ NNVT and my standard phone camera no infrared illumination in the room was used, the human eye saw roughly what the phone camera could see, a very dim room with some LED lights on electronics, where as the G14P2 performed just as well, if not better than the Gen 2+ NNVT, but unlike the analogue night vision unit it doesn't carry the risk of being burnt out by bright lights and it is able with a digital recorder to directly record what the user is seeing, where as the analogue night vision units must be filmed through the viewfinder.
The main improvement I can see compared to analogue night vision units is the contrast and resolution, as well as the lack of bloom seen around light sources.
