To get started with the development work I introduced in the last two videos, I designed a small board to go inside the locomotive to test various aspects of the train side sensor. It can either replace a locomotive decoder or just add the speed and distance control functionality to an existing DCC decoder. And as it turns out, it can be used for a few more use cases, which I am going to show you in this video.
