Create a Copy of a Data Extension | Marketing Cloud Tutorial
In this video, I show you how to create a copy of a data extension in Marketing Cloud.
Take the following steps to copy your own data extension in Marketing Cloud.
Click on Data Extension in Email Studio or Contact Builder
Choose the Data Extension that you want to copy
Click 'Copy' when you're in the data extension that you selected
Enter the name for this new data extension that you are creating
You can put an external key in the 'External Key' field or you can choose to leave it blank
You can put a description in the 'Description' field or you can choose to leave it blank
Choose the location that you want to put the data extension in
Then click 'Create'
Remember, copying a data extension only copies the structure of the data extension and not the actual data INSIDE of the data extension.
